Linda Welter is a veteran brand marketing and reputation management strategist based in Arizona with more than 25 years of experience creating, expanding, repositioning, and protecting brand and company reputations. Prior to founding Caliber Communications Group (a.k.a Caliber Group) in 1997, Linda served as vice president of marketing and public relations for a financial institution and account director for a marketing and public relations agency.
As CEO and Chief Growth Officer of Caliber, Linda is responsible for managing and growing the business through brand marketing, sales, client services, and talent attraction, development and retention. In addition, Linda has helped more than 500 business leaders solve complex problems, manage crises, navigate change, communicate effectively, and strengthen relationships with customers and stakeholders critical to an organization’s success.
Linda currently serves as a member of The Chamber of Southern Arizona Board of Directors, The Tucson Airport Authority, The Tucson Business Council, the Women’s President Organization (WPO), the American Advertising Federation, and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The Arizona Capital Times honored Linda as a Women Achiever in the Corporate Leadership sector and Congressman Juan Ciscomani recognized Linda for her leadership and support of economic development in Arizona.
The Southern Arizona Chapter of PRSA honored Linda with its career achievement Impact Award and the American Advertising Federation Tucson inducted Linda into its Hall of Fame. She has received awards for community leadership and entrepreneurial successes, including the Greater Tucson Leadership Community Leadership Award and the YWCA Woman on the Move Award. The Arizona Small Business Association recognized her as a Southern Arizona Smart Inspiring Enterprise (SASIE) business owner and rainmaker/ community leader. The University of Arizona’s Eller College of Business recognized Linda as a Business Woman of Distinction, and Metropolitan Pima Alliance has awarded Linda Common Ground Awards for helping build community consensus through strategic partnerships.
Linda is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and previously served as chair of the national PRSA Board of Ethics and Professional Standards. During her tenure on the board, Linda co-authored PRSA’s Code of Ethics, which today serves as the guiding professional standards for the 20,000-member national organization.
Linda earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications with minors in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa.
